It will blow you mind!

With unique features, this controller will change the way you interact in the PS5 virtual world. In addition to maintaining the DualSense features, it will feature the AudioTech 3D Tempest that will give the player a feeling of total immersion in the game.

“DualSense marks a radical departure from our previous controller offerings and captures just how strongly we feel about making a generational leap with PS5,” said Jim Ryan, President & CEO, Sony Interactive Entertainment.

How to overcome the success of DualShock 4 wireless controller?

The first step was to keep much of what players enjoy most about DualShock 4 and add new features with a new design. The new controller allows  a variety of sensations that the player will feel while playing. Like the resistance of a car passing through mud or the tension of when you pull the rope to shoot an arrow. They also thought about developing the maintenance life of the rechargeable battery.

The Share button

The Share button has been replaced by the Create button. With this button, you can create amazing gameplay content that can be shared or not. It's up to you. You’ll see that there is a lack of a battery panel. This controller has USB-C so it will charge up faster.

DualSense will also have a built-in microphone, eliminating the need to use headphones. It will be more effective in fast and objective conversations between players.

What colors are available?

The controller traditionally has only one color, but in this new controller, a two-tone design was made. The position of the glow light has also been changed. Now it will be on both sides of the touch pad, giving the impression of looking a bit bigger. The DualSense has been tested by several players with different hand sizes until they get to a perfect and very comfortable design. The intention is that players do not feel that they are holding a controller, but feel the controller as an extension of their body.

The president and CEO of SIE, Jim Ryan said:

“DualSense marks a radical departure from our previous controller offerings and captures just how strongly we feel about making a generational leap with PS5. The new controller, along with the many innovative features in PS5, will be transformative for games – continuing our mission at PlayStation to push the boundaries of play, now and in the future. To the PlayStation community, I truly want to thank you for sharing this exciting journey with us as we head toward PS5’s launch in Holiday 2020. We look forward to sharing more information about PS5, including the console design, in the coming months.”
