5 Series Marathon Quickies on Netflix

Engaging, captivating and short plots that deserve your attention!

Whichever type of series captures your heart, time and attention, the truth is that watching this type of entertainment awakens in us many emotions.

And, just as there are people who go crazy with happiness when they read long books, others don't have all that patience anymore.

The same happens when we talk about series: while some root for Grey's Anatomy to be eternal (after all this highly successful series is already in its 17th season), others don't have the same enthusiasm to commit to watching so many seasons.

If that's the case for you, follow this selection of amazing short series from Netflix to keep your attention from beginning to end! Check out:

Lupine

The plot is inspired by the crime novels by Maurice Leblan, where we know the story of Assane Diop (Omar Sy) , an intelligent and mysterious man who, with great cunning and cunning, seeks to find answers and to blame for the tragedy he lived as a teenager.

The death of her beloved father, who was wrongly accused of a crime.

Upon discovering the book "Arsène Lupin - Thief in the Cloak", Assane decides to follow in the footsteps of this famous Crime Genius, from the beginning of the 20th century, in Paris.

With surprising twists and a captivating storyline, this series will win you over in the first episode!

The Defenders

If you're a fan of Marvel Heroes, this series has everything to captivate you!

With the union of the heroes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist , New York will have all the protection it needs, having in its territory, a powerful and almost unbeatable villain, who leads a sect that promotes destruction and death.

With the wonderful performances of Charlie Cox, who plays Daredevil (he even has a series of his own and I confess it's one of the best I've watched), Krysten Ritter, as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage and Finn Jones as Iron Fist, the "Defenders" series has everything that Marvel fans love: action, surprises, good dialogue and emotion.

The Life and Story of Madam CJ Walker

Meet the first American millionaire black woman!

Based on the story of Sarah Breedlove, better known as Madam CJ Walker, who only knew a life of poverty, limitations and suffering until a big, innovative idea led her to her economic rise and building a beauty products empire. .

A very motivating and inspiring series, full of moments of commotion and strength at the same time, not to mention the impeccable performance of Octavia Spencer .

Think of a series worth every minute dedicated to watching it!

godless

Godless is a beautifully presented version of a Western to please even those who aren't into this Western style too much.

In 1884, an injured young man arrives at Alice Fletcher's (Michelle Dockery) ranch, and soon realizes he is in a town with an all-female population.

Pursued by a vengeful psychopath who wants his death at all costs, Roy Goode (Jack O'Connell) finds in this quiet town a new meaning to his life.

And that's where the innovation is! While older movies have always shown women who are defenseless or who limit their lives to prostitution, Godless dares to show women who lived through tragedy and turned it into strength to survive a world as brutal and hostile as the Western.

With a very interesting plot, breathtaking landscapes and brilliant acting, Godless leaves that feeling of "wow" from beginning to end.

The Society

Widely praised for promoting discussion among teenagers about power, privilege, minority and empathy, The Society manages to develop tense moments and critical situations with a talented cast.

In the plot, a group of teenagers who live in a city called West Ham, see their lives completely changed when they return from a trip that was canceled and are mysteriously teleported to a copy of their city, where their parents no longer exist.

Despite the confusion and anguish, these teenagers need to organize a hierarchy to be able to live as a society.

From there, a tension of power control, dissatisfaction, death and much more unfolds.
